The Birmingham Alabama Chapter of APICS

About Us

We are the local chapter of APICS, the Association of Operations Management: Advancing Productivity, Innovation, and Competitive Success. We serve Birmingham, Alabama and other communities in Central Alabama. APICS is the global leader and premier source of the body of knowledge in operations management, including production, inventory, supply chain, materials management, purchasing, and logistics.

Advance your career with APICS educational programs.

The Birmingham Chapter of APICS is pleased to have entered into an alliance with the University of Alabama Birmingham's Executive Education program to provide both CPIM and CSCP courses leading to certifications for each. This alliance means the APICS body of Knowledge is merging with the resources and facilities of UAB to give the business community in Central Alabama a greater opportunity to benefit from operations management certification programs in production and inventory control (CPIM) and supply chain management (CSCP). To learn more about this, or to register for classes, contact either Dr. Eric Jack., VP of education, or Bruce Nichols, Director, Executive Education, UAB School of Business.
