Requirements
Training
and Experience Desired:
- Some post-secondary education,
preferably in analytical discipline
- APICS training
- Experience in coil steel processing
- Stelplan knowledge
Characteristics

- Ability to perform the key job
functions within the group
- Ability to manage one or more
subordinates
- Ability to interact effectively with
other functions; i.e., purchasing, sales, plant operations,
finance, etc.
- Ability to work in an interactive
office environment
- Exceptional ability with computerized
PIC programs; i.e., Stelplan, in-house Forecast and Inventory
Tracking (FIT) system

Elements of Organization:
- Production and Inventory Control
functions for three steel processing facilities in Cleveland, OH;
Gadsden, AL; Sumter, SC
- Monitoring sales orders and
determining the time to run the job
- Applying master coils to the order
- Building the StelPro job
- Assigning jobs to machines and
scheduling machines
- Reviewing and controlling the
performance of scheduling; i.e., on-time delivery, scrap,
tons/man-hour
- Managing second receipt function in
Stelplan
- Management of Finished Goods and WIP
