Healthcare Supply Chain Benchmarking and Performance Measurements
Our speaker this month will be Michael Louviere, VP Supply Chain, Baptist Health System, Inc.
Everyone wants to be operating in the most efficient manner using "Best Demonstrated Practices." Discussions will center on key Financial, Operational and Quality measurements used to manage today's hospitals. Hospital executive teams are increasing interested in benchmarking to compare themselves to other like hospitals and to measure progress and control. The definition for supply cost benchmarking is "Total supply expense including all non-capital supply expenses incurred by your facility or system. This encompasses pharmacy, sales tax, freight, and handling charges.
We will also discuss how to rate the hospitals in your area and the 12 steps you can take to reduce your risk of a hospital infection.
